“We will ensure that the admissions officers' in-depth interviews are conducted transparently and professionally.”
With the university preparing for in-depth interviews for the Admissions Officers' Screening on November 16–17, the university held a workshop to strengthen expertise for full-time admissions officers and faculty-appointed admissions officers who will participate in the evaluation.
At the workshop, held over two days on November 6 and 7 at Jinsudang Paolo Hall, 340 full-time and part-time admissions officers developed detailed plans for the in-depth interviews and received training on conducting the interviews, among other thorough preparations.
Meanwhile, to ensure the fairness and expertise of the in-depth interview evaluation for the Admissions Officers' Screening (Early Admission Round 1), which carries a higher weighting in admissions than Early Admission Round 2 or regular admissions, the university will organize full-time and faculty-appointed admissions officers together with major professors into three-person teams. They will conduct individual interviews (approximately 15 minutes per person) over two days from November 16 to 17.
To this end, on October 26 the university announced 1,894 first-stage successful applicants, representing 42.8% of the 4,429 applicants to four Admissions Officers' Screening tracks, including the "Keunsaram" screening. These applicants will undergo comprehensive evaluation through in-depth interviews assessing personality and attitude, potential and capacity for development, and suitability for their chosen major. Final successful applicants will be announced on December 6 after applying the minimum CSAT academic achievement standards.
In the first-stage evaluation of the Admissions Officers' Screening, school record academic grades (50%) and non-curricular records and document evaluations (50%) were each reflected. In the remaining second-stage evaluation, the first-stage evaluation results (50%) and the in-depth interview results (50%) will be reflected equally.
