Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) received certification as an excellent administrative institution for creating a mutually beneficial labor–management culture and was awarded the Minister's Award from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety. In addition, in the individual category, Team Leader Jeong Seok-sun of the Library also received the Minister's Award from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety in recognition of efforts to establish a healthy labor–management culture.

On October 31, JBNU received the certificate and plaque recognizing it as an Excellent Administrative Institution in Labor–Management Culture at the National Civil Servants' Organizations' Workshop held at the Yuseong Hotel in Daejeon, which convened to review major achievements of public servant organizations and explore ways to advance labor–management relations.

JBNU received the certification because its awareness of and practical efforts toward a collaborative labor–management culture stood out.

In practice, JBNU was highly rated for holding regular meetings between the President and the Employee Council to collect suggestions, conducting satisfaction surveys to establish communication channels with staff, and significantly strengthening training and workshops to enhance the capabilities of staff assigned to the Employee Council.

The Employee Council was also positively evaluated for voluntarily contributing funds annually to the university's development and actively participating in volunteer activities such as supporting children from single-parent households, thereby practicing a collaborative labor–management culture through communication.

Accordingly, JBNU will be recognized as an Excellent Institution in Labor–Management Culture for the next two years, receive bonus points in related evaluations, and obtain various incentive benefits such as the publication and distribution of a casebook of excellent administrative institutions in labor–management culture.

President Seo Geoseok said, "The reason our university has recently been able to develop into a representative university of the Republic of Korea across various indicators is the power of communication and harmony between the university headquarters and its members," and added, "Now that we have received certification as an Excellent Administrative Institution in Labor–Management Culture, let us strengthen cooperation between labor and management so that JBNU can rise to the level of a world-class university."

Meanwhile, the selection of Excellent Administrative Institutions in Labor–Management Culture has been implemented by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety since 2010 to present models of healthy labor–management relations and to raise interest and efforts among administrative agencies following the enforcement of the Public Service Labor-Union Act in 2006.
