Jeonbuk National University (JBNU), celebrating its 65th anniversary this year, selected 65 students who excelled in self-development activities and awarded them scholarships to mark the occasion.

JBNU held the '65th Anniversary Scholarship Award Ceremony' at Jinsudang Gain Hall on October 30, and presented scholarships of KRW 1,000,000 per person to 65 students, including Kim Kyung-tae of the Department of Architectural Engineering, totaling KRW 65,000,000.

The 65th Anniversary Scholarships were awarded following a careful evaluation of applicants' major achievements. The scholarships were established to support students who actively pursue self-development and to cultivate outstanding talent that will lead national and regional development.

They designated outstanding students in various specialized majors, national contest prizewinners, and students active in diverse volunteer activities as 'JBNU New Intellectuals' to encourage the students.

At the ceremony, President Seo Geoseok said, "You are New Intellectuals with boundless potential to break through an era of intense competition and lead the future," and added, "I hope you take pride in being JBNU's top talent and devote yourselves fully to university life."

After the scholarship certificate presentation, President Seo Geoseok shared refreshments with the students and held a communication session to hear their suggestions and impressions, which received strong positive response from the students.
