Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) Industry-University Cooperation signed an agreement on October 11 with Neip Plus Co., Ltd., an indoor equestrian exercise device manufacturer (CEO Sang‑Yong Park), and began supporting technology commercialization through Technology Transfer and partnerships.

At the signing ceremony attended by Nam‑pyo Jo, Vice‑President of Industry‑University Cooperation; Dae‑gyu Kwon, Director of the Technology Commercialization Center; and Sang‑Yong Park of Neip Plus Co., Ltd., JBNU agreed to transfer the "Clinical Trial Evaluation Technology for Equestrian Exercise Devices" held by the Industry‑University Cooperation to Neip Plus and to actively cooperate in related research fields.

The university's outstanding technology, the "Clinical Trial Evaluation Technology for Equestrian Exercise Devices," analyzes the series of changes that occur during equestrian exercise through biosignals and biomechanics and verifies them through clinical trials.

Accordingly, JBNU will transfer the technology to the company to support its commercialization and will also support clinical trials for the transferred technology.

It also plans to cooperate closely in collaborative research in related fields to secure further superior technologies.

Nam‑pyo Jo, Vice‑President of Industry‑University Cooperation, said, "By transferring JBNU's excellent technologies to companies in related fields, we have created a good opportunity for mutual win‑win outcomes between the university and industry," adding, "We will not only support commercialization through Technology Transfer but will also work closely with companies to secure more advanced technologies."

Meanwhile, JBNU ranked second among flagship national universities in "technology transfer income" (University Alimi data), recording more than KRW 1 billion in technology transfer revenues last year.
