"We Support Your Youth As You Seek Your True Self in Your Twenties."
With the job market worsening, today’s university students are focused on building résumés through certifications, TOEIC scores, and grades. In response to this trend, students organized an event to explore the meaning of a "genuine university life," drawing attention.
The job-seeking club 'Jindaewon (If You Want a Genuine University Life)' hosted a Job Festival on September 26 at 3:00 PM at the Academic & Culture Hall, which was attended by about 300 students and held to great acclaim. Although presented under the title "Job Festival," the event primarily aimed to encourage students to explore themselves and communicate in pursuit of a genuine university experience.
In March, they also held various lectures, musical performances, and student-led presentations, generating a strong response as an event created by students themselves.
Divided into three parts, the event centered on student participation and communication. In Part 1, "Dream Audition," eight students spoke about their dreams, sharing their commitments to achieving them and engaging with the audience.
In Part 2, "Dream Lecture," former CJ CMO and current Team Button CEO Shin Byung-chul delivered a talk titled "Self-Content in an Era of Perfect Competition." He addressed how students should brand themselves in society and develop unique core competencies, creating strong rapport with attendees. Rather than a conventional lecture, the session was staged as a talk-concert with students, offering a novel blend of entertainment and inspiration.
Team Button's a cappella performance, which lasted an hour, further turned the event into an occasion of communication, participation, and enjoyment.
Han Seong-guk (Fourth-year, Department of Agricultural Economics), who organized the event, said, "I believe university life in your twenties should be a time to build your true self through experiences others have not tried and things you have not yet done. With that belief, my friends and I planned and held this event. I hope many students can share their dreams through this program and take time to reflect seriously on themselves."
