The team led by Professor Hyung-Jin Kim of the Medical School's Department of Urology recently received the Outstanding Paper Award at the 25th Annual Meeting of the Korean Society of Urologic Oncology.

The study, conducted in collaboration with Department of Urology Professors Myung-Ki Kim and Young-Beom Jeong and former clinical fellow Yu-Seop Shin, reports that intravesical instillation of epirubicin after bladder cancer surgery can prevent postoperative recurrence.

The study was praised by the Korean Society of Urologic Oncology as being readily applicable in clinical practice.
