Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) has confirmed employment for nine students this summer through LG Electronics' MC (Mobile Communications) Business Division's "Regional National University On-site Recruitment Program."

LG Electronics' MC Business Division said that, to recruit outstanding talent needed for its mobile business, executives visited JBNU in July to conduct the "On-site Recruitment Program" and selected a total of nine successful candidates.

This recruitment program was carried out by LG Electronics' MC Division as a follow-up to the initiative conducted in 2010 to secure outstanding talent from national universities. Departments related to mobile fields recommended top candidates, who underwent document screening. Executives then visited JBNU to conduct on-site interviews with the successful applicants.

The interview passers then attended a two-day, one-night camp that also included aptitude and personality testing, after which nine final candidates were selected.

An HR representative at LG Electronics' MC Business Division evaluated, "After visiting the university and meeting the students in person, JBNU students demonstrated excellent subject-matter knowledge and extensive project experience, to the point that they could be deployed to the field immediately. We expect these outstanding JBNU talents, who have diverse and ambitious aspirations, to demonstrate excellent capabilities."

Won Jong-han, a fourth-year student in the Department of Electrical Engineering who fulfilled his employment dream through this program, said, "The two-day, one-night camp was not merely an aptitude and personality test but a valuable opportunity to meet senior employees. I will further solidify the subject knowledge and practical skills I acquired at university and aim to develop a ten-million-seller smartphone in the future."
