"We are pleased to see you again after the break. Begin the new semester with a healthy body and mind."

To welcome the new semester, at 8:00 a.m. on September 4, Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) President Seo Geoseok and administrators held a welcome event, distributing rice cakes and beverages to students arriving on campus.

JBNU, which has distributed snacks and engaged with students every new semester and during exam periods, organized the event to boost students' morale at the start of classes.

President Seo Geoseok and the administrators handed rice cakes and beverages to each arriving student, exchanged greetings and words of encouragement, and students responded with thanks and smiles, maintaining a bright atmosphere.

Eunyoung Ko, a third-year student in the Department of Biological Sciences, who received a rice cake and beverage that day, said, "Every new semester the president comes out this early in the morning to encourage students, which makes me proud to be a JBNU student," and added, "I hope the second semester will be a vigorous one not only for students but also for the president, faculty, and staff."

President Seo Geoseok said, "I greeted students, holding their hands and making eye contact, conveying a message of hope to start the new semester energetically," and added, "In the second semester we will continue to strive to strengthen educational competitiveness and to build JBNU into a university where all students can enjoy campus life."
