Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) Museum will run an experiential cultural education program during the summer vacation to raise awareness among local elementary school students of the value and importance of cultural heritage.
Conducted jointly with the Cholla Cultural Research Center, this cultural education program, titled 'Cultural Heritage Coaching School, GoGo (Archaeology) Museum,' is scheduled to take place from August 7 to 11 for students in grades 4 through 6.
This summer's experiential activities will include various educational programs such as viewing the museum's collections on display, cultural heritage restoration and printmaking workshops, exhibition-based activities, archaeological excavation field experiences, and cooperative games for families.
The program aims to give growing children a new perspective on museums and, by conducting free and creative experiential activities outside the classroom, to foster understanding of and pride in our history and culture.
It is expected to make significant contributions to educational use of students' leisure time, to activate creative experiential activities, and to expand learning experiences.
Students wishing to participate should register by phone with the Museum Curatorial Office (063-270-4088) by August 3.
