Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) held a briefing and a roundtable on the Admissions Officer-based admissions process on the 12th for women's and youth civic organizations and institutions in the Jeonbuk region, and agreed to cooperate in promoting a correct understanding of the Admissions Officer System and in identifying and recruiting outstanding talent.

The Office of Admission's Admissions Officers Office invited about 30 people, including leaders, directors and staff from the Jeonbuk Youth Counseling & Support Center and 13 other organizations and institutions, to provide an overview of the Admissions Officer System and to reaffirm their commitment to work together to nurture local talent and promote regional development.

The organizations and institutions that signed memoranda of understanding to promote a correct understanding of the Admissions Officer System are: Jeonbuk Women's Education and Cultural Center; Jeonbuk Youth Activity Promotion Center; Jeonbuk Youth Counseling & Support Center; Jeonju YWCA; Iksan YWCA; Namwon YWCA; Solnae Youth Training Center; Deokjin Youth Cultural Center; Jeonju Youth Cultural Center; Wansan Youth Cultural Center; Hyoja Youth Cultural Center; Korea Scout Jeonbuk Federation; and Korea Girl Scouts Jeonbuk Federation.

Park Jong-min, Vice-President of the Office of Admission, said in his opening remarks, "The primary purpose of JBNU signing agreements with youth civic organizations and operating joint programs is to ensure the efficient dissemination and implementation of the Admissions Officer System," and added, "In particular, since the objective is to provide accurate educational information about the Admissions Officer System to cultivate outstanding local talent and to contribute to regional development, we ask for active interest and cooperation."

Since February, the Admissions Officers Office has concluded memoranda of understanding with youth civic organizations and held eight briefings and roundtables. To further raise awareness of and spread a correct understanding of the Admissions Officer System—which is becoming established as a new admissions method that can lead public education—the office plans to continue offering educational and training opportunities to youth civic organizations and to disseminate accurate knowledge and information to local parents and young people.
