JBNU's KEN (Kindness - Excellence - Non-stop) Award, presented to staff who demonstrated the most outstanding and courteous performance in the first half of this year, was awarded to 김정선 팀장, Division of Academic Affairs, and 이정희 팀장, Career Support Headquarters.

In addition, 김경님 팀장, Division of Industry-University Cooperation, and 김종준 팀장, Division of Finance, were selected as exemplary civil servants and received the Prime Minister's Commendation. Staff member 김문수 of Student Affairs received the Minister's Commendation for contributions to reducing university tuition.

JBNU held an awards ceremony at the President's Office in the headquarters on July 3 at 9 a.m. to honor 16 KEN awardees and to present government honors to three exemplary civil servants.

The KEN Award Program, introduced in 2007 and administered to enhance administrative services, recognizes and rewards staff who have led administrative innovation. By honoring the university's most courteous employees and those with achievements in work innovation, the program boosts morale and fosters commitment to administrative reform.

This year's top employee, 김정선 팀장 of the Division of Academic Affairs, made innovative contributions including the early implementation of the faculty performance-based salary system, improving the recruitment rate of full-time faculty, improving educational conditions through support for educational operations, and establishing a special recruitment system to secure outstanding faculty.

Another top employee, 이정희 팀장 of the Career Support Headquarters, contributed to JBNU being selected as an Outstanding University under the Ministry of Employment and Labor's 'University Employment Support Competency Certification' through the operation of various employment support programs and the provision of high-quality services by improving the student counseling system.

The second prize, the 'Blue Ocean Award,' was presented to 공과대학 빈중수 팀장, 정봉우 직원 of the Division of University Development, 장태성 직원 of the Campus Development Headquarters, 정상국 직원 of the Division of Facilities, 차기환 직원 of the Division of Research Support, 강혜숙 직원 of the Division of Academic Support, and 오경희 직원 of the Division of General Affairs.

The 'Creativity Award' was presented to 이한정 팀장 of the Information & Computing Center, 고민정 직원 of the Central Library, 정상무 직원 of the Division of Finance, and 김기년 직원 of Student Affairs. The 'Challenge Award' went to 정태진 직원 of the Division of General Affairs, 장인자 직원 of the College of Education, and 김미영 직원 of the College of Natural Science.

At the presentation ceremony, President 서거석 said, 'The university's ability to grow into one of the most notable universities nationwide was made possible by the dedicated efforts of our staff who quietly carried out their duties. I sincerely thank you for your considerable efforts toward the university's development, and I ask that you continue to devote yourselves wholeheartedly to your duties so that our university can take greater strides toward becoming a world-class institution.'
