Students 최병현 (3rd-year, Department of Business Administration), 최나현 (4th-year, Department of Electronic Engineering), and 송상건 (4th-year, Department of Electronic Engineering) recently won second place in the 2012 Wanju Cultural Policy Idea Contest.
The contest, organized by Wanju County to revitalize the 'Rural Village Renaissance Project,' accepted a total of 102 proposed projects in four areas—cultural education, cultural programs, cultural jobs, and cultural talent donation—from January to March, 2012. Winners were selected with a focus on novelty and feasibility, centering on fresh ideas from university students and the general public.
The project proposed by our student team was a Wanju cultural experience mission program called 'Running & Learning Family.' It integrates an application into Wanju County's family-oriented experiential programs—where demand has increased due to the five-day workweek—by assigning missions through the app and having families complete them to encourage active participation in Wanju's cultural programs.
The program, designed to encourage active participation in Wanju County's cultural experiences in the smart era, was praised as a creative and feasible proposal.
Student 최병현 said, "My prior experience participating in and winning last year's Educational Capacity Enhancement Content Idea Contest held by our university was of great help," adding, "I hope that our proposed idea will contribute to the revitalization of Wanju County's Rural Village Renaissance Project."
