"I hope Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) will develop into a world-class university beyond Korea."

Vice-President Shin Hyo-geun recently donated 10 million won to the development fund to support JBNU's advancement.

The reason Vice-President Shin donated the development fund was that, as a vice-president, he wanted to lead by example in promoting the university's development and to help students grow into accomplished individuals under better conditions.

Vice-President Shin, who has continuously donated funds to enhance the university's competitiveness, expressed his hope that JBNU will strengthen its competitiveness, become a role model for university development, and produce many outstanding talents.

Vice-President Shin said, "As the years pass, I feel proud as a member of the university to see JBNU steadily build a level of competitiveness that other universities will envy," and added, "Although the fund is modest, I hope it will be used carefully where it is most needed and serve as a stepping-stone for JBNU to take a greater stride forward."
