JBNU Professor Hwang In-ho Elected President of the Korean Society of Animal and Livestock Foods

Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) Professor Hwang In-ho (Department of Animal Science) has been elected president of the Korean Society of Animal and Livestock Foods. His term is one year.

 

The Korean Society of Animal and Livestock Foods promotes basic and applied research on the use of animal resources focusing on animal-based food products. It seeks to contribute to the advancement of academic knowledge and industrial technology in this field by disseminating related theories and techniques.

 

In his inaugural remarks, President Hwang said, "As animal-based food products have become a key area guiding public health and food culture, the society will play a central role in strengthening its academic foundation and enhancing its international standing." 

 

He added, "We will do our best with our members to enable the society to advance on the global stage by transitioning the English journal FSAR to Springer Nature, strengthening the foundation for the Korean journal Food and Life to attain indexed status, and successfully hosting ICoMST 2026 (August 9–14, 2026, Daejeon DCC)."
