CBNU Goodwill Ambassadors" Program Application
□ Purpose
■ CBNU Goodwill Ambassadors Program aims at encouraging interactions among CBNU community by active participation in programs and events organized for international students to support them in adapting to life in Korea.
■ Through this program participants could share cultural experiences and give assistance to international students in order to facilitate adjusting to life in Korea
■ Participants could feel a strong sense of belongingness and pride as a member of CBNU throughout the joining activities.
■ Participants may enjoy making friends from other parts of the world and explore diverse cultures.
□ What are the expectations of participants
■ CBNU Goodwill Ambassadors will support events for international students.
e.g.) Orientation for international students etc.
■ CBNU Goodwill Ambassadors will assist international students to adapt to living in Korea.
e.g.) Giving information about campus life, immigration issues, etc.
■ CBNU Goodwill Ambassadors will participate in Study Abroad Fairs.
■ CBNU Goodwill Ambassadors will support other international affairs.
□ How the program is being organized
■ We will make a pool of CBNU Goodwill Ambassadors and contact them in order, when assistance is needed.
■ We will keep a record of individual activities.
■ We will issue the certificate of activities upon request from participants.
□ How many participants are selected
■ Korean Students: Total 15
- English Speaker: 10
- Chinese Speaker: 5
■ International Students: Total 5
- Chinese: 5
□ What are rewards for CBNU Goodwill Ambassadors
■ CBNU Goodwill Ambassadors will be given additional points when they apply for programs managed by International Affairs Office, according to acknowledged volunteering hours (Max. 10 points)
※ Standard
- 21~25 hours: 2 points
- 26~30 hours: 4 points
- 31~35 hours: 6 points
- 36~40 hours: 8 points
- over 41 hours: 10 points
■ The cost generated by volunteering activities, such as transportation and meals, will be reimbursed.
□ What is the selection process
■ Total Points: Interview (100 points) + GPA (100 points)
■ Required documents:
- Application Form for CBNU Goodwill Ambassadors
- Official Transcript
- Certificate of Language Proficiency (if applicable)
■ Schedule
- Application: Feb. 25, 2008 ~ Feb. 29, International Affairs Office
- Interview: Further Notice will be announced on Feb. 29(http://ioffice.cbnu.edu)
