2005 Daedongje "Resonance" , starting with the celebration of the university festival eve held on the evening of May 11, continued for four days until the 14th. A dormitory accommodating 2,500 to be built

Chonbuk National University recently drew up a plan to set up a dormitory that can accommodate up to 2,500 students by attracting private capital of 40.9 billion won. "Five, four, three, two, one, zero!" "Wow!" With audience members' resounding voices, at 8:15 p.m. last April 19, the £¿Light of Einstein£¿ arrived at the fountain of Chonbuk National University from Mount Moak. At the very moment, citizens and students directed the flashes emitted from their cell phones or luminous sticks toward the middle of the fountain. The lights kept making the fountain brighter for ten minutes, and then they again left for Mount Woonjang.

Chonbuk University, part of the fermented food industry belt
On April 6, Chonbuk University joined the Korea Food Research Institute (한국식품연구원) and four county governments in North Jeolla province, including Wanju, Imsil, Buan, and Sunchang in signing an agreement to cooperate with one another in promoting the expansion of the fermented food market.
