Our department studies various forest products manufactured in physical or chemical way, various architectural materials, furniture, musical instrument, pulp and paper, which are useful to human life. The mass product and mass consumption today are causing social problems such as global warming, abrupt increase in garbage, lack of fossil resources, weakening human activities, and the world is going for wood materials to resolve the problems. For this reason, our department is making efforts to develop the technology to use recyclable wood materials that are natural and environment-friendly, creating the wood culture to save the resources. The department also aims to foster the experts who have the ability to work on site by teaching and giving the opportunity to participate in the wood-related researches and its development studies.
