■ Eligibility for Language Proficiency
※ Once admitted, students must attain TOPIK Grade 4 or above before a graduation.
1) Applicants with TOPIK Grade 3 or above or students who have completed Level 4 Korean class at the Korean Language Education Center in Chonbuk National University
※ If registered to take the TOPIK exam in October or November, applicants must submit their TOPIK Identification or Examination Number. However, the applicants must submit their TOPIK Grade 3 certification until Dec.12th ,2014. Failure to do so will result in automatic disqualification
2) The applicants for the College of Arts may apply without the above mentioned language proficiency certifications if they are capable of “taking classes in Korean.”
3)Department of International Studies (▲)
- Minimum score required for standard exams TOEFL: PBT 550, CBT 210, iBT 80, IELTS: 5.5, TEPS: 550 or Completion of secondary or higher education in countries where English is the primary language of education (Ex. U.S.A, Canada, England, Australia and Republic of South Africa).
- From a non-native English country but completed the education from an institute where the primary language of education is English.
* Must submit a proof document showing the primary language of education is English (ex. Principal’s confirmation)
■ Scholarship:
1) Scholarship for the first semester (based on proficiency in Korean language) - applies to all majors except International Studies
- 1st Level Scholarship (Admission Fee + Instruction Fee+University Fee Waived): Students who have TOPIK Grade 5 certification or higher.
- 2nd Level Scholarship(University Fee Waived): Students with TOPIK Grade 4
- 3rd Level Scholarship (50% of University Fee Waived): Students with TOPIK Grade 3
2) Scholarship for International Studies majors
- Scholarship for the first semester
* All admitted students will receive 1stLevel Scholarship
- Scholarship starting from second semester
⦁ 1st Level Scholarship (entire tuition waived)
: Students whose previous semester’s grade point average is 4.06 or higher
⦁ 2nd Level Scholarship (University Fee waived)
: Students whose previous semester’s grade point average is between 3.63 and 4.06
⦁ 3rd Leve lScholarship (50% of University Fee waived)
: Students whose previous semester’s grade point average is between 3.19 and 3.63
⦁ 5th Level Scholarship(Instruction Fee waived)
: Students whose previous semester’s grade point average is between 2.75 and 3.19
※ Students who obtain a semester grade point average lower than 2.75 will not receive scholarship
